Allah accepted the elder’s prayers, and the enemies were transformed into stone, much like the Fairy Chimneys. The people and their animals were turned into stone, preserving them in the state of petrification.
The region around Cappadocia, including Paşabağı and Three Holy Christian Rocks, is also associated with legends of petrification similar to those in Devrent valley. The Fairy Chimneys’ structures resembling human figures have led to the perpetuation of such legends over the years.
